Kanban is fast becoming the modern way to manage an organization’s delivery of customer value. In today’s always-on environment, teams need clear practices that support continuous delivery. These practices should provide enough structure to keep everyone aligned and focused without becoming a bottleneck.

This course will give you an in-depth introduction to improving your team’s effectiveness by applying Kanban flow principles.


Delivery in Small Batches

This course is delivered virtually and in small batches over 4 weeks. In five 3h sessions, the participants will learn with practical, hands-on exercises what Kanban is and how to apply it effectively in their environment. Each session aims to give the participants something they can implement right away, and give feedback or seek input in the following sessions.

Each session will be held on Fridays, from 13:30-16:30 Central European Time (CET). The dates are:

Course Details

Attend an Applying Professional Kanban course to learn how to use Kanban to your advantage. After taking the course, you can validate your understanding of Kanban with our online assessment that evaluates your knowledge and provides guidance on areas to improve. Upon passing, you will receive the “Professional Kanban I” (PKI) certification and badge through Credly.


What Will Be Covered

This course covers how to get started with Kanban, designing and visualizing workflows, applying Kanban practices, understanding Kanban theory, strategy, and metrics, and improving Kanban systems for better results. More concretely, we’ll dive into the following topics:

  • Principles of flow and visualization
  • Strategies for efficiency and predictability
  • Designing and implementing workflows
  • Managing work in progress (WIP) to improve flow
  • Identifying opportunities for measurable improvements


Who Should Attend this Training?

This course is designed for anyone looking to improve their ability to deliver value and work more effectively, including business analysts, team members, team leads, Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, project managers, and product managers. No prior Kanban experience is required, making this course suitable for both beginners and those looking to refine their skills.
