I’ve been in the Agile space for much of my career (25+ years) in some shape or form. My background is in software engineering. These days I primarily focus on people, product development, processes, collaborative ways of working, system thinking, cultural transformation and community building. I am devoted to deepening my knowledge, skill set and experience; and sharing it through teaching, training, workshops, speaking and written content. I am also active with a few roles in industry over and above my day-to-day which is currently in digital product sustainability, previously financial services. Currently I support the British Computer Society as Chair of their Agile Methods specialist group committee. I organiser the global meetup, The Future of Work Scotland and am Co-Lead of the Green Software Foundation Scotland community meetup. I am also active on the agile, tech and digital conference scene as a speaker and panellist. I was a keynote speaker at the Agile in Africa conference in 2023, in Ghana. I firmly believe the quest for mastery never ends.
